Stunning, high quality collector’s rare specimen of extra gemmy, glassy calcite, quartz and lustrous red cinnabar in matrix from the Condesa Mine of Santa Eulalia in Chihuahua, Mexico. Featuring a beautiful association of vibrant red cinnabar included in glassy clear calcite and quartz on a red orange limonite mineral matrix. Cinnabar is a mercury sulfide mineral with a striking red color. The mercury content can be harmful if absorbed into the blood stream by ingestion. The crystals won't pose a health hazard just sitting on a shelf but it is highly recommended to wash hands after handling. This world class Spanish specimen is extremely aesthetic and druzy and the cinnabar included calcite is full of sparkle! The calcite is UV florescent with a neon glow.
