Rapid Deployment Hospitals (RaD) are scalable and easy-to-deploy decommissioned shipping containers repurposed by a group of volunteer architects, doctors, and engineers. These containers serve as intensive care units (ICUs) and isolation facilities for severe and critical COVID-19 patients in response to the shortage of safe and secure isolation and treatment facilities.
Our brand design highlights the creation of a solution born out of a crucial need – addressing the severe shortage of medical isolation facilities for COVID-19 patients. The incorporation of ‘Rx’ symbolizes a widely recognized icon for medical prescriptions, while three vertical lines on the left signify the repurposing of decommissioned shipping containers for these facilities.
